Amaranth is a South American plant which belongs to the grain family. It is characterised by its extremely bright red flowers. It is one of humanity’s oldest cultivated vegetable crops. Today, its has resurfaced thanks to its excellent nutritional properties that set it apart, as it contains iron, protein, magnesium and calcium.
